Since coming into existence as an independent state 200 years ago, Greece has experienced numerous disasters. Nevertheless, it managed to transform these political, economic and social catastrophes into an incredible success story.
In a 7-episode documentary series based on his best-selling book, political scientist Stathis Kalyvas (Gladstone Professor of Government, Oxford University) revisits key moments in the nation’s recent history, to highlight how Greeks have triumphed by setting goals which are beyond their reach.
